Twitchers take note

Not satisfied with the chimps in the forest yesterday, we commandeered a local fishing boat on the southern shore of lake albert in search of the elusive shoebill. We found one hunting and then catching a lungfish. We then saw 2 others who promptly flew off. All this before breakfast! What a tough way to spend a monday morning. Aish!

Hello from Stellenbosch from Gina, Nika, Michal and Leah. We loved looking at your gorilla pictures this morning. Nika and Michal say: 'We hope you are having a lovely time' All our love from Nika and Michal. Sorry that the messages are so few and far between. I read the kids your posts evert now and again, and they are very jealous of their friend. We are spending the month down here with a view to figuring out if we can move. Not sure yet, but the beuty and slower pace sure is seductive. Love, Gina

Hi Sheena,

With regards to the James family, we are "chock a block" for the whole of August, and with only a few rooms available for the weeks ahead, I am unable to confirm anything, nor offer what I think would be a competitive rate for them.

Tell them though, that if they are in town next week, they can pop in for a lunch one day? I won't charge them, except for drinks, so if they would like to do that, they can just sms me and let me know if/when they will be coming through. +256 (0)77 4745883
